We all make new year’s resolutions with the best of intentions to make changes in our lives to improve our life, because we saw a need for it or felt a need for it.  But research has shown the ~92% of all new year’s resolution do not take the journey the are supposed to take, they just cannot find the momentum or get to the finish line or they do not know how.

This new year, when you think of resolutions, think in terms of transformation, not in terms of change, because change is not a permanent concept, it is not a change in mindset, when you create change you are keeping open the possibility to revert to the old form, without you even knowing you are doing it, but when you transform, you create a mindset a system change that locks in the changes. 

Take charge of what you want to achieve by taking the step towards transformation, you take charge of your mind, you acknowledge how you think and feel, you understand the process and why you do what you do and how you do it, you then create self-awareness and empower yourself to be in control. Your past experiences, thoughts, feelings, actions and habits are all influenced by each other, when you change one aspect, you create an environment that impacts on all the others and thus the decisions you make and the directions you take in your journey of life.

Deepak Chopra said that “When you make a choice, you change the future.”

So, what is transformation and how do we transform rather than change? In business transformation is a shift in the business culture of an organization resulting from a change in the underlying strategy and processes that the organization has used in the past. A transformational change is designed to be organization-wide and is enacted over a set time frame.

In one’s personal life transformation is a shift in our approach to our overall system by paying attention to our complete system, heart, mind, body, behaviours, the structures we create around us, the people we surround our lives with, the things and people we allow to influence our lives. When we take a transformational approach, we create shifts within us that improves our way of life, performance, capabilities, self-esteem, endurance and the ability to stay on the path we want. When a change is a transformational change it becomes, enduring and aims to follow a path moving forward always.

Albert Einstein said that “problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.”

Transformational approach changes the level and depth at which we look and think about a situation.

​Emotional Wellness is a process of understanding how we engage with our emotions and how that engagement effects our decision making process.  It is the ability we generate through our connection with our emotions to identify and manage your own emotions and the emotions of others, in how we let it affect us. It is about building an awareness with the ability to identify our own emotions and those of others, the ability to harness emotions and apply them in a positive and proactive process, emotions are energy in motions, they are very powerful energy forces, once we learned to recognise them and channel them in the right frame, they become powerful tools of change management.  This gives us the ability to manage emotions positively and have the power to regulate your own emotions and use that regulated energy to channel it in the direction we want to create positive vibrations within our environment and the people we come in contact with.  The ability to bring happiness and calm, cheer and joy, laughter and love, building connections that create powerful recognitions, engagements to common goals, create understanding and common path ways.  Emotions have a direct effect on how our bodies and minds work, emotions are our systems language of communicating to us to take notice of what is going on around us.  Emotions control our thinking, behaviour and actions.  So understanding our emotions and the emotional flow of energy and understanding how to recognise them, manage and cultivate them, is a powerful knowledge tool for self-development and wellness and healthy and happy relationships.  Happy journeys.

Your biggest asset is your Health & Wellness

​The current environment that is effecting our economic and the contributing effect it is having on individuals and families is having an effect on the Health and Wellness within our community, families and workplace.  The pressure on everyone to cut cost, job losses, financial difficulties, working long hours, worrying about job security, worrying about getting a job to make ends meet and looking after the family, to pay bills and put food on the table.  These are difficult times for all of us. 
Our biggest asset is our Health and Wellness, mental, physical, emotional and spiritual.  We may suffer financially, but we need to make the time to look after our health and wellness, to stay happy, to be in peace, to be in a place to be able to move forward, to stay positive, to care for our loved ones and to support our loved ones.

Kalari is a lifestyle, it is a unique system of understanding your body, mind, treatment and living.  Food, exercise, meditation and natural treatments form part of the Kalari way of living.  Kalari was developed in connection with Kalaries in Kerala. The knowledge attained by the sages and yogies of ancient India about the 107 vital points led to the development of this unique treatment and lifestyle method.  Kalari bodywork is part of Kalaripayattu practice and works through the whole body, vital spots and meridians, circulation and conditioning of the energy flow, wind and breath, and balancing and alignment of the body as well as the channels and centers of the body corresponding to the chakras, stimulating and circulating the internal wind to move the channels of the body enhancing correct form through which strength and power emanate outwards from the navel region.  Kalari is and mind and body system that works together in balance, it is a thinking system, where the mind is empowered and that empowerment passes to the body and back to find that balance within ourselves.  I find many similarities in Kalari, with Chi Nei Tsang, Reiki and NLP in the physiology and mind of practice towards the outputs we seek.  My Kalari Chi Harmony system of Kalari brings a wealth of practice to help individuals find a balance in their way of living and harmony in what they do and seek, it helps you find the path you want to travel and bring balance in the process.

Taoist Energy Meditation is a meditation art based on gentle diaphragmatic breathing, body stretching, energy circulation and grounding.  It consists of eight different movements called the eight golden treasures, each one designed to exercise and massage the internal organs.  Taoist Energy Meditation is an effective form to energise the mind and body, to bring alignment and balance using a simple, gentle, but effective form that only takes 8 mins a day, it strengths the body, mind and spirit.  Taoist Energy Meditation is a body mind integration system; in my Chi Nei Tsang practice I incorporate the Taoist Energy Meditation form in my teachings to my students.  The Taoist system takes the concept that the universe is created through the interaction of two forces the positive and the negative, the yin and yang.  No movement is complete in itself, it is always moving towards its opposites, example male and female, hot and cold, day and night. The end of one movement is the beginning of another.   Life is not permanent, it is forever changing, move with the flow of change and embrace change.

In all my workshops and in all my session I emphasis the concept that we as individuals have the power of choice, I help individuals to understand the power to choose.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) I term my practice as Neuro-Linguistic Physiology, the mind and body as one system, allows people to open their minds to have more choices about their lives, it is about the freedom to choose.
You can change the way you feel by changing the way you think, what is happening within your body affects the thoughts you have in your mind.

NLP is a highly effective system that changes patterns of emotional and mental behaviour in order to enable you to achieve more success in whatever you do and enjoy a fulfilling and happier personal life in balance. NLP can help you to achieve effective communication, increased self-awareness, new behavioural responses and adapt them in order to create the outcomes you choose. It can help give you a better sense of direction in your life, by opening your awareness to emotional and mental behaviours and habits. It is important to understand that the meaning you give to an event or something that happens will decide how it affects you emotionally.  In our world communication is an important part of our daily life, we communicate all the time with all our senses, knowingly or unknowingly.  The success of our communication is the response we get to that communication and if it aligns with our initial expression are you getting the right response to your communication. Think about this next time you are in a conversation.  Take time to observe and look at your communication process, make the changes to be more effective and when put under pressure to choose a path, remember that you are in control, you have the power to choose.

Chi Nei Tsang is life force energy (Chi) of passion with an ever evolving quest to "unbutton the Chi" so it can dance and heal the individual under the expert guidance of CNT Master.  Ancient Taoists Masters understood the power of energy and emotions, they knew that negative emotions were the driving forces that caused destruction to one’s health, physically, mentally and spiritually. Human emotions are an expression of energy and energy flow has a direct relationship to one’s wellness.   The Taoists developed the art of Chi Nei Tsang as an energy art form of transform to move negative flow into positive flow to unbutton the Chi so it can dance and heal. 
In today’s living environment, Stress is a very destructive factor, stress leads to worry, anxiety, which then leads to anger, hate, sadness, low self-esteem, dysfunction, imbalances in the body system and then to depression.  Depression is one of the major health issues facing humanity today.  It is estimated that by 2020 depression will be the second to heart disease as a major cause of morbidity worldwide.  Many people take antidepressants to deal with their depressions. Australia has the second highest rate for prescriptions issued for depression worldwide., with rates doubling between 2001 and 2011.  There are natural alternatives to deal with depression by maintaining a good wellness.

It has been shown that there is a direct relationship between the gut and the brain and the effects that each has on the other.   Maintaining good gut health can reduce the effects of depression.  Chi Nei Tsang works directly to help improve your gut health.
